Quote of the Day

Quote: It is possible that a person has a need for something… so he earnestly prays and requests Allah for it, until the sweetness of asking and imploring Allah is opened for him. So he enjoys being humbled before Him, and trying to draw closer to Him, using His Names and Attributes, and his heart becomes void of everything besides Him, and he cuts off any relationship or hope for good from anyone else – all of which would never have occurred had it not been for his need.
Scholar: Ibn Qayyim Al Jawziyyah

Ahadith of the Day

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The life of the world is sweet and green. Allah makes you generations succeeding one another so that He may try you in respect of your actions. So beware of the beguilements of the world and those of women. The first trial of Banu Israel was through women”. [Muslim, riyad as-salihin 70]

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “It is from the excellence of (a believer’s) Islam that he should shun that which is of no concern to him”. [At-Tirmidhi, riyad as-salihin 67, authenticated by shaykh Al-Albaanee]

Jarir bin ‘Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

“We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when he looked at the full moon and observed, “You shall see your Rubb in the Hereafter as you are seeing this moon; and you will not feel the slightest inconvenience in seeing Him.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim, riyad as-salihin 1895]
